Seg\u00fan datos de la Secretar\u00eda de Energ\u00eda y del Instituto Argentino del Petr\u00f3leo y del Gas, el n\u00famero exacto fue de 903.700 barriles por d\u00eda durante el mes de mayo (\u00faltimo dato disponible), lo que represent\u00f3 un incremento del 19,6% en relaci\u00f3n con mayo de 2025.
El petr\u00f3leo no convencional es el principal responsable del r\u00e9cord, dado que siete de cada diez barriles que hoy se extraen en el pa\u00eds provienen de la Formaci\u00f3n Vaca Muerta.
